It was discovered in a lithium rich pegmatite near Itinga, Brazil. This specimen also has some white albite.

The lepidolite has lavender-purple color and roughly hexagonal form, and it stands 2" tall.

Code#: lepm104 Weight: 3.2 Lbs (1.45 kg) Size: 5.2" x 4.7" x 2.5" (13cm x 12cm x 6.4cm) Location: Salinas, Brazil Price: $31.50 This lepidolite mica with quartz specimen was discovered in a pegmatite near the town of Salinas in Minas Gerais, Brazil. On the backside of this specimen, the lepidolite formed as a solid "plate" of lilac-purple color lepidolite(see back-side).
Item: Rubellite Tourmaline w/ Lepidolite
	This unique item is sold. Code#: trbm110 Weight: 499 grams (1.1Lbs) Size: 4.2" x 3" x 2.3" (10.7cm x 7.6cm x 5.8cm) Location: Morro Redondo, Brazil Price: $188.50 This fine quality specimen of rubellite tourmaline, lepidolite mica and clevelandite feldspar was discovered at Morro Redondo, Brazil in 1995. It has natural color transparent rubellite tourmaline crystals in shades of salmon, pink & violet in a matrix of lavender lepidolite mica and white clevelandite (a variety of "albite") feldspar. There also is a terminated bi-color green and pink tourmaline crystal measuring 0.6 inches long on the front of this specimen (see photo at left). There are several large rubellite crystals on the back of this specimen measuring up to 1.5 inches long (see photo of the back-side).
