The matrix is a white translucent plagioclase with occasional larger dark gray moonstone phenocrysts. At certain angles, some of these dark gray moonstones show beautiful blue-violet color flashes (also known as adularescence).

It was hand ground and polished from natural moonstone rough that was mined in India. This light gray-white translucent moonstone sphere has flashes of blue-violet color (also known as adularescence) visible at certain angles in some areas of its surface. Item: Moonstone with Quartz Sphere, 1.4 inch
	This unique item is sold. Code#: moos153 Size: 1.4" diameter (35mm) Price: $54.50 This 1.4 inch diameter sphere was made from natural moonstone rough that was mined in Russia. It is translucent with a very nice quality finish, and it has pale blue-violet color flashes visible at certain angles (also known as adularescence) on two different areas of its surface. This sphere has a small amount of semi-transparent quartz crystal which is intergrown with the moonstone on one side. The quartz crystal is visible in the lower part of the sphere in the picture at left.
Item: Rainbow Moonstone with Quartz Sphere, 1.7 inch
	This unique item is sold. Code#: moos154 Size: 1.7" diameter (35mm) Price: $92.50 This 1.7 inch diameter sphere was made from natural moonstone rough that was mined in Russia. It is translucent with a very nice quality finish. This is a true rainbow moonstone sphere with green-gold and blue-violet color flashes visible at certain angles (also known as adularescence) on two different areas of the sphere's surface. There is some semi-transparent quartz crystal and a small amount of black tourmaline which are intergrown with the moonstone on one side. The quartz crystal and the black tourmaline are visible in the lower part of the sphere in the picture at left.

	This unique item is sold. Code#: moos135 Size: 2.6" tall x 1.8" in diameter (66x45mm) Price: $124.50 This 2.6 inch tall egg was ground and polished from natural moonstone rough that was mined in Russia. It is translucent and has pale blue-violet color flashes visible at certain angles (also known as adularescence) at each end of the egg. The photo at left shows a top view of the egg, see also a photo showing the flash of blue sheen at the bottom of this egg.

	This unique item is sold. Code#: moos130 Size: 1.85" diameter (47mm) Price: $112.50 This 1.85 inch diameter sphere was made from natural moonstone rough that was mined in Russia. It is translucent with a very nice quality finish, and it has pale blue-violet color flashes visible at certain angles (also known as adularescence) on different areas of its surface. This sphere has a small amount of semi-transparent quartz crystal which is intergrown with the moonstone on one side. The quartz is present on about 5% of the sphere's surface.

	This unique item is sold. Code#: moos142 Size: 2.45" diameter (62mm) Price: $214.50 This 2.45 inch diameter sphere has a very good quality finish. It was made from natural moonstone rough that was mined in Russia. This unusual sphere is translucent to semi-transparent! It has beautiful light golden sheen (also known as adularescence) visible at certain angles on different areas of its surface when viewed under incandescent light. This rare quality moonstone sphere also has a small amount of faint blue sheen when viewed under a bright light.

It has a very nice finish, and it is translucent with pale blue-violet and silvery flashes visible at certain angles (also known as adularescence) on different areas of its surface.

	Code#: moos145 Size: 3.45" diameter (88mm) Price: $438.50 This 3.45 inch diameter sphere was made from natural moonstone rough that was mined in Russia. It has a very fine quality finish! This rare size moonstone sphere is translucent, and it has some areas that are semi-transparent. It has beautiful silvery-golden color sheen (also known as adularescence) visible at certain angles on different areas of its surface when viewed under incandescent light, and there also are some areas with faint blue sheen as well (see photo at left).
