	This unique item is sold. Code#: obsl114 Weight: 2.45 Lbs. Size: 7.5" x 3.8" x 3" (19cm x 9.7cm x 7.6cm) Price: $28.18 This piece of 100% natural obsidian was mined in Mexico. It appears to be black, but if you look closely at the freshly broken surface in the photo at left you can see that it actually has areas with green and purple sheen visible at certain angles. The beautiful sheen colors becomes much more pronounced when viewed with a bright light source on fresh surfaces or when polished. On the opposite side there are some areas with beautiful gold, green and purple banding that would make amazing cabochons! This piece of rainbow sheen obsidian is top-grade lapidary material, it would make a gorgeous carving, or it could be made into a couple of 1.5" spheres with plenty of material left over for cabochon gems.
