It makes a nice mineral specimen just as it is, although it is semi-transparent to transparent with a large area having very nice cabochon grade transparency, and it could be ground and polished into a beautiful gemstone. The larger peridot crystal in this specimen has a good sized area with gem-grade transparency, and it would yield a cabochon gem weighing 6-8 carats. The prismatic faces and the terminations are in very good condition overall with a slightly worn appearance and a contact area on one side with some broken edges. It was discovered near Kohestan, Pakistan. The photo at left shows both front and back views with the crystal in an upright position, see also a view of this crystal lying on its side which better shows some of the acicular black ludwigite crystal inclusions within the peridot. It has beautiful green natural color, and the entire piece is transparent. It makes a fantastic gem-grade peridot specimen weighing 98.5 carats just as it is, although it could also be fashioned into wonderful cabochon gems or carvings! 	Code#: perm158 Weight: 183.1 carats (36.62 grams) Size: 2.1" x 1.0" x 0.9" (53mm x 26mm x 24mm) Location: Kohestan, Pakistan Price: $353.38 This large natural peridot crystal has rich green natural color, and it is transparent in the upper half becoming semi-transparent towards the base. The faces and terminations show some natural etching and they are in very good condition overall with some minor abrasions. It was discovered at the Datso Mine near Kohestan, Pakistan. Item: Natural Gem-Grade Peridot Crystal, 33.86 grams
	Code#: perm171 Weight: 169.3 carats (33.86 grams) Size: 1.4" x 1.2" x 0.75" (35mm x 30mm x 19mm) Price: $812.64 This natural peridot crystal has fine green natural color, and it has fine cabochon grade transparency throughout with only some faint veil-like inclusions (see a view that better shows the rare transparency). The terminations are in slightly worn but very good condition, and two of the prismatic faces show fresh breaks. This fine color natural peridot crystal makes a superb peridot specimen just as it is, although it could also be fashioned into 80 carats of cabochon gems or a lightly included faceted gem weighing over 40 carats with fine color! Item: Peridot Lava Bomb in Basalt
	This unique item is sold. Code#: perm122 Weight: 7.3 pounds Size: 10" x 6.5" x 5" (25cm x 16.5cm x 12.7cm) Location: Mojave Desert, California, USA Price: $46.25 Dark olive green peridot grains that crystallized deep within the earth's crust aggregated into a 1.5" long nodule. This peridot nodule was then carried up to the surface by basaltic magma & gasses and ejected into the atmosphere during a volcanic eruption. The porous lava hardened into a 0.3" thick concentric layer of dark basalt around this peridot xenolith, forming a peridot "lava bomb". This peridot lava bomb was later engulfed by a basaltic lava flow which hardened around it. The photo at left shows a close-up, see also the full-view photo.
Item: 1.0 pound Peridot Nodule
	This unique item is sold. Code#: perm124 Weight: 1.0 pounds Size: 3.5" x 2.8" x 2.3" (8.9cm x 7.1cm x 5.8cm) Location: Mojave Desert, California, USA Price: $14.25 This large peridot nodule consists of dark brownish-green peridot grains that formed deep within the earth's crust and then aggregated into a large mass along with bright green diopside grains and some black pyroxenes. This peridot nodule was then carried up to the surface by basaltic magma & gasses, where it was expelled in a lava flow during a relatively recent volcanic eruption (approximately 10,000 years ago). Weathering of the basaltic lava flow freed this large peridot xenolith.

	This unique item is sold. Code#: perm123 Weight: 1.9 pounds Size: 5.25" x 3.8" x 3" (13.3cm x 9.7cm x 7.6cm) Location: Mojave Desert, California, USA Price: $13.50 This dark basalt specimen has several peridot nodules measuring up to one inch across. These nodules consist of aggregated yellow-green peridot grains along with bright green diopside grains and some black pyroxenes.
