This natural lemurian quartz crystal has a re-finished tip in good condition, and the prismatic faces are completely natural showing horizontal striations. This giant lemurian crystal is transparent throughout its entire length with increasing transparency towards the tip!! This crystal has a tapering shape, and it has semi-vitreous luster. This is a superb piece for a carver to make a fine quality carving.
Item: 34.25 pound Elestial Quartz Crystal Rough Piece
	Code#: rkxl118 Weight: 34.25 Lbs Size: 12" x 10" x 8.5" Location: Mined in Minas Gerais, Brazil Price: $411.00 This specimen of natural quartz crystal is basically semi-transparent to transparent all the way through the piece with some small cloudy areas, and overall you can see anywhere from 2 to 6 inches into the natural light smoky quartz crystal where ever there is a fresh break on its surface. See a side-view photo, and also a photo showing a different side. This large elestial quartz crystal specimen actually is terminated on the opposite side, however its real beauty is its internal transparency that is best visible when its broken surface is turned up as shown in the photo at left. The terminations on the opposite side have a milky quartz skin that make it difficult to see into the crystal when placed in other positions. This specimen makes a great decorator specimen just as it is, although it could yield a wonderful carving or free-form polished piece weighing at least 20 pounds!

It has very beautiful light golden yellow color (100% natural color - it is unheated and untreated), and it has large internal flawless areas separated by light planes and other faint inclusions. It is a fine specimen of natural color citrine just as it is, although it could also yield a very rare quality carving.

	Code#: citm145 Weight: 11.2 Lbs Size: 10" x 6.5" x 4.4" Location: mined at the Genipapo Mine, Brazil Price: $728.00 This natural color citrine specimen is a partially terminated crystal with very beautiful light golden yellow color (100% natural color - it is unheated and untreated). This specimen has a relatively flat tabular shape (see side-view) because one side was sheared away naturally (see view showing sheared surface) leaving that entire side with a shiny surface like a "window" looking into the crystal's interior. Most of the other surfaces have natural terminations (see top-view) with some broken areas. Over 80% of this rare natural citrine specimen has excellent transparency, and it would yield more than 1000 carats of totally clean faceted gemstones, or an eight pound polished piece with excellent transparency!

It would yield a spectacular carving of very rare quality!

It has broken surfaces on one side as shown in the photo at left, and on the opposite side it is covered with very nice natural terminations (see a back-view photo). It has very good transparency in most areas, and there are some pink chlorite inclusions as well as some rutile inclusions (see close-up view of rutile crystals). It does make a nice mineral specimen just as it is, although it could also be carved and polished on one side leaving the other side covered with natural terminations!

It contains a natural 2-phase inclusion (also knows as a quartz "enhydro") with a very easily visible 0.2" diameter bubble which travels back & forth within a fluid filled cavity inside the quartz! The gas bubble has been trapped within this natural skeletal quartz crystal since the crystal formed more than 50 million years ago!
