It has deep pink color along the c-axis under daylight (see photo at left), and it is actually a watermelon tourmaline with a thin layer of green around its sides! The green and pink colors mix and blend perpendicular to the c-axis yielding green and golden-peach tones (see side-view photo). This rare quality watermelon tourmaline crystal section has no visible inclusions, and it could easily yield a wonderful totally clean faceted gem weighing 12 carats!
