This genuine pietersite specimen has been sawn and roughly polished on one side to show the thick layer of beautiful chatoyant pietersite passing through it. The pietersite is mostly blue with some large red areas as well, and the pietersite layer averages about 1.5" thick.

This top grade pietersite specimen has been sawn and roughly polished on one side to show its beautiful interior. It is mostly chatoyant blue with some red areas as well. The interior of this high quality pietersite piece is very solid and could yield a single large carving, or a couple of 2.5 inch spheres and lots of fine quality cabochon gems. This piece also makes a very nice specimen of genuine chatoyant pietersite just as it is!
