Item: Natural Rainbow Obsidian Piece
	This unique item is sold. Code#: obsl114 Weight: 2.45 Lbs. Size: 7.5" x 3.8" x 3" (19cm x 9.7cm x 7.6cm) Price: $28.18 This piece of 100% natural obsidian was mined in Mexico. It appears to be black, but if you look closely at the freshly broken surface in the photo at left you can see that it actually has areas with green and purple sheen visible at certain angles. The beautiful sheen colors becomes much more pronounced when viewed with a bright light source on fresh surfaces or when polished. On the opposite side there are some areas with beautiful gold, green and purple banding that would make amazing cabochons! This piece of rainbow sheen obsidian is top-grade lapidary material, it would make a gorgeous carving, or it could be made into a couple of 1.5" spheres with plenty of material left over for cabochon gems. 	Code#: perm158 Weight: 183.1 carats (36.62 grams) Size: 2.1" x 1.0" x 0.9" (53mm x 26mm x 24mm) Location: Kohestan, Pakistan Price: $353.38 This large natural peridot crystal has rich green natural color, and it is transparent in the upper half becoming semi-transparent towards the base. The faces and terminations show some natural etching and they are in very good condition overall with some minor abrasions. It was discovered at the Datso Mine near Kohestan, Pakistan. Item: Peridot Lava Bomb in Basalt
	This unique item is sold. Code#: perm122 Weight: 7.3 pounds Size: 10" x 6.5" x 5" (25cm x 16.5cm x 12.7cm) Location: Mojave Desert, California, USA Price: $46.25 Dark olive green peridot grains that crystallized deep within the earth's crust aggregated into a 1.5" long nodule. This peridot nodule was then carried up to the surface by basaltic magma & gasses and ejected into the atmosphere during a volcanic eruption. The porous lava hardened into a 0.3" thick concentric layer of dark basalt around this peridot xenolith, forming a peridot "lava bomb". This peridot lava bomb was later engulfed by a basaltic lava flow which hardened around it. The photo at left shows a close-up, see also the full-view photo.
Item: 1.0 pound Peridot Nodule
	This unique item is sold. Code#: perm124 Weight: 1.0 pounds Size: 3.5" x 2.8" x 2.3" (8.9cm x 7.1cm x 5.8cm) Location: Mojave Desert, California, USA Price: $14.25 This large peridot nodule consists of dark brownish-green peridot grains that formed deep within the earth's crust and then aggregated into a large mass along with bright green diopside grains and some black pyroxenes. This peridot nodule was then carried up to the surface by basaltic magma & gasses, where it was expelled in a lava flow during a relatively recent volcanic eruption (approximately 10,000 years ago). Weathering of the basaltic lava flow freed this large peridot xenolith.

These nodules consist of aggregated yellow-green peridot grains along with bright green diopside grains and some black pyroxenes.

It shows good vitreous luster on its multiple parallel and stepped pyramidal terminations which are mostly in very good condition with some abraded areas. This naturally terminated smoky quartz specimen has 4-sided terminations standing up from the matrix, but it is actually a double-ended (bi-terminated) bi-pyramid with no prismatic faces. The c-axis is parallel to the matrix surface so the "4-sided terminations" standing up from the matrix are actually the juncture of the terminations of the two 6-sided pyramids. The mineralogical term for this bi-pyrimidal form without prismatic faces is "quartzoid". This is a great specimen to fool a geologist with at first glance, since the form of the quartz's 4-sided crystal "tips" look more like black flourite crystals!
