The tsavorite garnet is semi-transparent with rich, deep green color, and it has some small cabochon grade areas. The tsavorite is bordered on each side by layers of pale blue-gray opaque tanzanite.

The tsavorite garnet is semi-transparent with rich green color, and it is enclosed within blue-gray opaque tanzanite. The matrix is graphite, zoisite, quartz, and pyrite.
