This specimen of brown jasper has natural color blue apatite crystals embedded within it and exposed on its surfaces. Most of these apatites show cats eye chatoyancy. There is a vug with botryoidal chalcedony formations inside. This is a very nice mineral specimen just as it is, although it could also be used as lapidary rough. It would yield a 3.5 inch diameter sphere with plenty of scraps left over for making smaller spheres and beautiful cabochon gems.
